    Hi Barbara, nice image of what appears to be a Royal Tern. The banking pose shows off the upper wing surface well, the open bill adds to the interest of the image. You mentioned that it was overcast, remember that the sensor in the camera is only smart when it is bright and sunny. For an overcast day add one or two stops of light as long as the white highlights do not clip.
