    Hi Bob,
    I think you need to feather your selections a bit more, and also work out how to blend the lighting in your composites. A bright orange sunset and a white bird .... ?

    Bob I do like your bird, and I would concentrate on that, it looks powerful and I think you may do something with that.
    I am not so sure about the sunset though, perhaps you could move the bird closer to the left and up a tad.

    Hi Bob
    the second try is much more appealing to my eyes. The beautiful bird stands out against a reticent background. In the first version the sun was too aggressive.

    I actually find the first image creative. Second shot is nice too, some contrast might help as it looks a bit pale.
