    Ladybug Macro Shots

    Hi Everybody,

Found this ladybug and decided to take some close up macro shots of it. Was amazed that I got this clarity using my manual focus and handheld. Let me know what you think.

This one was light orange. I've seen both colors and didn't feel like Photoshopping the color differently.

You can do the "Like" here too though it says "Mark As Helpful"... see an example under the first post when I clicked on Mark As Helpful -- it says that "I" like it. Try it.

Anyway...Zak these are nice shots. I am with Binnur here -- #2 is very interesting. It looks like it is looking at its food by the pose of it.

Very good Zak especially No 2.

As with all these shiny surfaced little critters it's not easy to capture them without the specular highlights.

Haha you're not kidding. I had to pull the highlights down a bunch in post processing.

Ladybugs (America) or Ladybirds (UK, and perhaps New Zealand as well), same animals. Most are shades of red with black spots, but some species are various shades of yellow to orange. Many are very variable. The Two-spot Ladybird can range from red with black spots to black with (or even without) red spots.
