I like this Kelvin. It certainly invokes the thought process, massive ocean, single fish, how he got there, water movement, time of day................. etc.

Too late now but I wonder how a shot taken from much lower down would have worked.

I am with Grahame...the view and the rest of it is good but this is one occasion wherein shooting lower would have worked with your title.

To get philosophical about your title...killing is something that humans do so very well.

I think the shutter speed is perfect for this image and the light is excellent. I think cropping off about 3/4 of the sky would better allow the story to come through. That nice evening sky is too much competition for the poor catfish.

Quite a lot of things kill very well and sometimes wounded prey gets away.

Eventually it feeds something.
