1: The grass on the other side of the hill is greener -
2: Must be difficult to eke out a living there -

Cool shots.
#2 is quite the classical image.
#1 is nice as well but may have been better with the face towards you.

Looks like you were afraid to get closer on the second image.
Very nice, the second is more of a landscape and the animal just happened to be there.

Re: Kalahari Animals
Hi All, many thanks for the time taken to view and comment.
Dulaigh, conditions were very harsh, day after day of blistering heat (38C+). Fortunately for the animals there is pumped borehole water in strategic places and they supplement most of their liquid and mineral requirements from grasses, roots, tubers etc.
Bobo the Gemsbok had a habit of watching me till I picked up the camera then walked away. My mission was to get one on a nice red sand dune silhouetted against a blue sky, I was unsuccessful so I will have to go back.
John, I first saw the lone tree in the "V" of the two hills then noticed in the distance the Wildebeeste walking towards me so I waited nearly twenty minutes for it to arrive. Which wasn't as hard as it sounds as I enjoyed a nice cold beer.
