Am I getting too moody?

Re: Snow day
Possibly
Although it looks like there might be a road and streetlamps you were trying to 'lose' in the blackness at the top.
The crop works for me, particularly with the tracks, they work better where they are, coming in from the side, than even partly from the bottom edge.

Re: Snow day
I suppose you could try adding a fraction more brightness to the highlights and see what happens. The shadows need to be kept fairly dark though.

Re: Snow day
Another beauty Sharon.
I love the dark tones and... feelings of the image.
I think however some kind of posterization (?) thing in the black near the top left corner I don't like.

Re: Snow day
Well, maybe, if you are feeling depressed.
If this was taken late in the afternoon in low light and this is what you pictured it's fine as is. Otherwise I think I'd open up some detail in the top of the image.

Re: Snow day
I love it! The position of the person on the right absolutely makes this image.

Re: Snow day
Sharon, I really like this. The only thing that is really distracting me is the vignette / blurred area on the left of the image. Why did you blur it? I just don't think it works, sorry.
The feeling and composition of the rest of the image is great, however. I'd like to try and bring the highlight up a bit, provided it didn't spoil the overall mood of the pic.

Re: Snow day
I like it Sharon,
dark & moody yes, but that's how it feels this time of year.
I was thinking of getting out today and seeing if anything took my fancy, but I decided to was to cold, grey and overcast and not worth the bother. Looking at this just confirms I was wrong and should have got out there and tried.
Well done.
