Bernard,
the light didn't play for you this time,
IMHO it is a good picture but it looks a bit "washed up". it could be the time to work on hystograms...
and perhaps a wider DoF would be an other improvement, the village and the hills beyond loch Lomond seems a bit soft in my monitor.
hope this helps
sorry for my quick reply, I've to go,
have a nice day
Nicola
PS is it taken recently? No snow? just dissolved? I visited your beautiful Scotland in april 2010, I found the same yellow grass but I imagined the snow was just melt...
Hi Nicola,Yes it was taken today nicest day this year,I don,t know very much about DOF or or histograms etc thanks for your reply, not much snow so far this year but anything can happen here....
Good on you Benjy. How did you convert it to B & W? What method did you use?
You captured nice clouds in the sky.
I might have been tempted to try and lighten up that band of pine trees, but that's a skill you can develop as you get more practice.
Hi Donald thanks for viewing, used windows live photo effects to convert to B&W,still trying to get round all these different modes ie.f stop/DOF etc, slowly picking some things up ...cheers
hi,any specific reason as to why image has been removed?
