This thread is Whey too cheesy for me, at one point I thought I was going Crackers, in the end it made me Blue and I had to open a bottle of wine to go with the photos, with a few grapes. I hope you have success with your cheese photos but I am unable to view any more as I am on a Low Cholesteral diet.................P.S. Love the pics

Nice. I love the way you've blended the background into the shot. Not enough to take the focus away, but the detail is there to immerse yourself in the photo.

Went to bed with a small growl in the tummy and woken by a much bigger one.
One thing I forgot to ask about - can you post a pic of your setup and explain how you get this kind of lighting? I really love the way the texture shows through. Looks almost 3D and wanting to touch it.

ha- Bobo, you'd laugh at my set-up.
It equals wherever I can get daylight and then make do. I usually use the kitchen table and just my D90 either on a Joby Gorillapod or just balanced on the table. I don't yet own any external lighting/flash.
That last shot of the blue was shot under ambient light only and with DOF as low as the aperture wold go.
Fairly simple post processing via Lightroom.

When you can get results like this with just natural light I'd say just keep on rockin'! The moment you add a new element, like a flash, you start the learning process again. Come to think about, that's not always a bad thing either!
