    Experiment with GND filter

Used a Lee, .9 GND f/14 @ 1/80 400 ISO. Used the filter in five positions ranging from partial to full by sliding the filter down the rail in 1/2 inch increments. Next, I merged the scene to HDR. I could have accomplished somewhat the same thing by changing the shutter times, but wanted to see if this idea would also work...not sure what application it might have in the future.

Chris: Have been waiting to see if you grads arrived and now I know. Never thought of doing a shot that was by sliding the grad down then through a HDR program. Do you mind if I ask which program you used. Thanks Allan (your Great White Northen Friend).
