Black Lens

Quick question,

Some of the Nikon lenses ive been looking at have the word black in the name.
does this mean anything?

Yes,

It means they're evil and wrong!

It means nothing to my knowledge (which is just plain wrong)

Where are you looking Tom? I'm a Nikon user and have never heard the term.

Also these two 70-300, which one says black and the other does not, and looking at the price of these two leads me to believe that the black version isn't as good?

Could they mean grey market as in no warranty for the country you live in? Only guessing, but I use Nikon as well and I have no clue (probably a broadly general attribute unfortunately) in this case,

i read this but see the 18-55 lense link which is pictured in black

problem solved, it means nothing, just the color, the company emailed me back, thanks for your help
