    Thanks Matt! I had never seen them before either. These were older and talk about aggressive with mom

    Great captures, Barbara. An unique moment in nature.

    My only comment is about the exposure. It seems, in my monitor, that the whites clipped a bit on the chicks back. That usually happens when shooting fully white birds, like the egrets. One trick to counter this is to use some "minus" exposure setting. I usually use minus 1 to minus 3 points.

    PS.: Just dont forget to turn it to normal again (zero), after shooting the white creatures, or you may ruin a heron shot later!

    Thanks Otavio! I had not noticed the blown highlights I was using compensation and did not notice any blinkies. It might be that I blew them when PP. I need to go back and look at that since I will be going back to the rookery this week and want to make sure I keep that in mind.
