My only comment is about the exposure. It seems, in my monitor, that the whites clipped a bit on the chicks back. That usually happens when shooting fully white birds, like the egrets. One trick to counter this is to use some "minus" exposure setting. I usually use minus 1 to minus 3 points.

I was using compensation and did not notice any blinkies. It might be that I blew them when PP. I need to go back and look at that since I will be going back to the rookery this week and want to make sure I keep that in mind.
PS.: Just dont forget to turn it to normal again (zero), after shooting the white creatures, or you may ruin a heron shot later!
