Last weekend was gorgeous early spring weather here in the southern UK but less than a thousand miles further north, Donald was complaining about snow!
And the first Spring Insects started to appear.

Eristalis tenax feeding from a crocus flower. A common spring hoverfly.
I was moving the pot to a better camera angle when this fly landed. But as soon as I got the camera ready it became somewhat 'camera shy'. But I managed a couple of quick snaps.
And, hopefully, I still have all summer to get some better photos of rarer creatures.
