i know this is just a compact camera and not some top of the line pro / semi pro model , but i think that you can help me out with coments .
I am in the process of purchasing a new DSLR which i havent had since before Digital SLR's were out on the market .
i am interested in Compesition , lightning , focal distance etc . any help would be gratefuly appreciated .
when i get the new DLSRi hope to improve all of the above and obviously take it a bit more serious than just the weekend photographer .
Cheers

I did like the peruvian pictures but you need to post pictures here, as you can't expect people to look through an entire photostream. Also have patience on these forums mate 'cos we got people from all over the world.

"you need to post pictures here, as you can't expect people to look through an entire photostream."
Agreed. You'll almost certainly get better advice if you select 1 or 2 images that you'd like a critique on - copy the URL to the image (right-click on the displayed image - choose properties - and copy the URL from the property sheet is often the most reliable), and then use the insert image button to insert them so that they display inline here.
Hope this helps :)

HI , thanks for the responses .
there are only a couple of pictures on the stream , but again how would you guys know without looking !?
and your right , it is easier if i post them here .
i cant remember when i took this , but its around Santo Tómas Mexico
maybe in winter 1995/ 1996
with a very cheap SLR+lense film
and this one i took i Puntarenas Costa Rica
in late spring 1999
with a Fuji point and shoot . film

It looks like you have a good eye for composition. I think you will REALLY enjoy your DSLR.

HI . on friday i went and picked up my NEW D90 . came home opened up the box. i put the bettery on the charger directly and then continue to fiddle wit the camera .
I was surprised to find out that the camera didnt even come with a "Starter SD card " say just to have an out of box experience . So saturday moring i went and picked up the
SanDisk Extreme 3, 4GB card .i can roughly take 200 exposures on the RAW+JPEG fine setting .
So far i havent had any time to get out since the weather is bad. but i hope to start to put the camera into use ASAP .
for now i am just testing it inthe flat .
Cheers

PS i'll update more sweden pictures if your interested

Any idiot can take pictures in good weather Timo! You have finally prompted me to get the D90 alongside the D80 (dpreview) to see what I am missing. Better tracking of moving objects handed down from D300 looks good; rest, well you might as well buy the upto date job tho I can do without the extra weight and video.
Whether an amateur actually needs more than 10mp is debatable and the extra pixels are all going to slow the computer down that bit more....good excuse to buy a new one if you haven't for a while
Shoot as much of Sweden as you get on your card, look forward to seeing it.

Hey Timo,
Do you work for DICE? I am sure that they have this view from their building.
