    I forget how much younger you lot are. David Niven was an actor and comedian in the 1960, maybe survived until 1980; his autobiography is called 'The Moon is a balloon' (usually available from Amnesty bookshop in Malvern for £2+postage, maybe only 67p on ABE)

    I think (well, google thinks) "A Matter of Life and Death"

    Thank you Dave. That thread is photographed from about a mile away, so I would have thought it would be strong enough to stand some pulling about.....but then this morning I saw the balloon had come loose and looks as if it is stuck on a twig and going down
