Thats a weird cloud formation, the actual photo is a bit grainy otherwise.
Maybe you should use your super PS skills to make it better
Oh, no I've already done that.
The actually image was taken on a crappy film camera about 3 years ago.
I realized the pic had some potential, so I did something about it.
The pic was so grainy you would sware it was taken on a 4 mp camera!
I spent about 2 hrs removing noise and re-building the sharpness.
So from what it was, the pic is REALLY good.
I know what you mean though, perhaps I should beautify it further!
I think you have an overlay of 3 different phenomena in that sky, which is why it comes out interesting but improbable - the dark grey cloud, the pink which is a wind diffused vapour trail and I think a fire at the bottom below the cloud, but it could be continuation of the vapour trail
I find that evening times, particularly where there are aircraft vapour trails, there can be some very interesting effects, not all of which are easily capturable on camera.
1. Because they are often transient and last for a very short time.
2. The eye can see a scene somewhat differently to the camera.
So well done.
Cloud formations can make or break a picture and I applaud anyone grabbing such a shot, even if it demanded a lot of PP work.
Thanks
I know what you mean about seeing a different scene to what the camera see's.
Sometimes its just a matter of adjusting the photo in PS until it looks more like what you remember (although that can be easier said than done too, sometimes it just never seems to look right! It makes you wonder how accurate that memory actually was... )
