    White on White

While this is a studio shot, it is 100% natural light. The only "studio" tool used was the white seamless paper sweep that serves as the foreground / background.

Very well done Manfred. I'm not sure how you created the secondary faint shadow on the camera left side. I assume that you main light source(window, opened door or overcast sky) was on the left side approximately 45° from the camera.

The window is on the camera left side and slightly behind the table where I was shooting.

The only thing that could have caused the secondary shadow was my small softbox on my flash, that is sitting off just to the right of the vase. While the flash was not in use, the diffuser on the front of the softbox would have reflected some light back and softened both the main shadow and created as smaller secondary shadow on the camera left side of the vase.

It might have been accidental but it turned out well. I would say "experiment successful".
