We're finally reasonably settled in to our new (rented) home. Today was the first day that we allowed ourselves to simply relax. Went for a bike ride, walked the dog, and had a nice glass of wine this evening. The wine was interrupted when the evening sky lit up with a double rainbow and I was forced to break out the camera for a shot or two.
This is the view from our back porch. We moved down from our home on the mountain to sea level. But we rented a house on a waterfront bluff on the salt marsh of the Knik (pronounced kinick) River estuary at the head of Cook Inlet. We still have mountain views across the inlet but backlit most of the day until late evening. This rainbow felt like a welcome sign.
