    Fern focus stacked

Taken this morning in my in-laws garden, 29 images focus stacked in Helicon Focus and then edited in Lightroom.

Looks really nice! Could you elaborate on focus stacking? I imagine that it is something that would increase the depth of field.

Hello Ernie, yes you are correct it increases depth of field when close up to objects. In this example I had my camera on my tripod using a cable release, then took a series of images starting with the near point, then slowly extending further into the scene. All settings on manual so that the exposure stayed the same for each image.I stopped once I had reached the end point of what I wanted in focus. Then using Helicon the photos were all combined together to make one image, finished editing it in Lightroom.
