Sunrise cruise at Kakadu- enjoyed the birds

Thanks to everyone who commented on the sunset cruise photos; it turns out sunrise is more about the birds than the crocs. I'll preface this thread by saying I'm not a birder. I've always had a lot of respect (and awe) for the talent on this forum with respect their bird photography. If anything, that respect has grown more after being in Kakadu, surrounded by so many wonderful birds, and struggling to capture even the perched birds let alone attempting birds in flight. I was still shooting with the D610 and Tamron 28-300. Very convenient travel lens, but I can certainly appreciate the appeal of longer lenses or tele converters with faster lenses for shooting birds.

This message box is teasing me. One more mistake in spelling/typing and I will leave this post alone...

Anyway all very nice shots. I like both the rainbow bee eater shots. I cannot imagine a more prettier bird in Oz than the parrots and the lovebirds and galahs, etc.but the shots of the bee eater here takes the cake especially the last one.

A very nice lot of pictures. I must get back to Kakadu soon.

I saw my first Jacana in Brisbane last week. I have also seen the bee eater and pied cormorant locally.
