A Misnomer

This is what Gorilla Hair actually looks like...



This is commercial "Gorilla Hair" which is shredded redwood used for landscaping...



It lays out nicely and covers slopes quite well. After being wet a few times it gathers into a mat that will not run off in a rain and will hold all but the steepest slopes intact. This was shot with my new 8mm Fisheye Vivitar lens...



However, it doesn't look anything like Gorilla Hair. They should call it Orangutan Hair

Good point.
We don't have this product. The local trees are too easily decayed to be of much use and the fibre too short. Instead the highways department uses straw. Not nearly as attractive thus never seen in commercial landscaping.

I have not seen that product either here in Missouri. We put cedar mulch in our garden every two years. This year is the year but with over 90°F these last three weeks, it was too much heat to even step outside the back door. Nice shots of the gorilla and the orangutan.
