Re: Dream turns 13
I think you spoiled Dream a little bit through the years...she is getting on the fat side of getting old just like a grandmammy not minding her waistline anymore...looking content and happy. What a pretty kind of autumn backdrop you had chosen to pose them with...it certainly brings their shape and separation from it. Just like how you have to ram it in posing with your siblings, Mali will too ya think?
She sure has a scowl in her face...
Good job, Kay. I enjoy dogs very much, especially large fat dogs. Happy birthday to Golden Dream...

Re: Dream turns 13
lovely shot of lovely dogs.
I took pictures for a local non-profit that raises and trains goldens for service dogs and it was really a struggle afterwards not to get a puppy for myself.

Re: Dream turns 13
Great shots, Kay. You did pick an excellent spot to shoot. Not much grey on the face for that age. She must have had a stress free life
Both shots are excellent. I love the second one for the comparative ages reflected in the eyes. Just like with people the eyes of dogs really show the playfulness of youth, confidence of adulthood, wisdom of age, and sadly, fatigue(for themselves) and worry(for us) as the end draws near. Dream still looks wise to me
Nicely done.

Re: Dream turns 13
Thank you Richard,Greg, Marie & Dan.
We hope Dream does have some time still with us, as she is a beautiful natured girl.
Her Mum is 16 & living in an elderly folks home as the companion dog.
I wanted to get the younger dog, now though as I was very sad after my dear friend passed away at Christmas. I couldn't cope with losing a pet as well if it happened then. The amazing thing is Mali seemed to know that I was sad & needed her. She likes all the family, but she loves me & never leaves my side when I am home. I think she is a fully qualified grief counsellor.

Love these, Kay, especially the second. Wish my Stella would pose as prettily for me (or that I were quicker on the uptake
).
