I don't see the connection to the song. No doubt some of the younger folks will have to Google it to even know what you're talking about.

Regarding the photo IMO it would be more effective with a bit of space around the two trees.

Thanks Dan, I agree about the space but unfortunately there is another tree to the right that would only partially be in the photo.

i feel the relation, and emotion; yes i too feel another angle where we see the trees just hand-in-hand, but not fully separated, to match your interpretation....

Nice scene. I don't think you need more space around them. I feel the the way you fill the frame with the threes, and the blurry part at the bottom, helps making the mood. Once again nicely done.
