    That's a good shot and while I don't usually like a lot of OOF area in a picture this one puts some sense of scale to the fly and is so bland that it actually provides a decent frame for a well composed presentation.

    I f I knew what the term meant I could give you a direct answer.

    Here's what I did and it was all done in Capture 1 Sony Pro.
    (1) cropped
    (2) exposure
    (3) white balance
    (4) scaling to 800 width
    (5) sharpening using lens profile.
    (6) colour balance
    (7) layers where among other things I applied sharpening, clarity and structure to individual areas .

    Now just because curious people need to know: what exactly is post production sharpening? please and thank-you

    This is a good image. It's nice to meet challenges like this in getting to the limits. The focus is just in the right place. If I were a bird, this would be quite appetising.
