Immature Bald Eagle
I managed to get to Yellowstone NP Last Friday. This young eagle was keeping an eye on the Gardiner River just south of the North Entrance.

Re: Immature Bald Eagle
Steve but I like the glint of sun at its back and that twig near its head, I thought, looks a bit like barb wire. The branch on the top right need not be there, don't you think? Just commenting...Good shot, Steve.

Re: Immature Bald Eagle
Very nice Steve
The image might benefit from some cloning though as Isabel has already mentioned.

Re: Immature Bald Eagle
Thanks for the comments Izzie and Binnur. Sometimes there are branches and other things that get in the way of a wildlife shot. Still I prefer not to clone them out mostly because my skills are lacking.

Re: Immature Bald Eagle
At least you are honest, not just defending your turf not to clone out. I am beginning to like and understand you...

Re: Immature Bald Eagle
That one is two or three years old. Entering what I call the "dirty bird" stage. Body mostly brown and head turning white but still looks dirty (ergo dirty bird). Yeah those darn branches...

Re: Immature Bald Eagle
Thanks for commenting Dan. Yep, branches in bird shots and wires in landscape shots.
