Selena
Selena is a Havanese mix about 18-months to 2-years old. We received her Saturday, got her professionally groomed yesterday (a local groomer donates her service to our rescue dogs) and shot her picture yesterday evening. We posted her on Petfinder.com a dog rescue site we use and the phone has kept ringing,
Selena was spayed today and we have several families planning to meet Selena this weekend at a rescue event we are attending.

I goofed up on the Selena shots. I had been shooting available light in a dog training establishment at ISO 640 and forgot to reduce to 160 when I shot Selena. However with a bit of noise reduction applied, the shots turned out decently...
Selena's son, Tommy six-months old, was a PITA to shoot. He kept looking down and due to his large eyebrows, I couldn't get a decent shot with his eyes showing. Nothing, even the tastiest treat would attract him. I salvaged this picture from last night's shoot using Photoshop and my wife placed it on Petfinder.com.

My plan was to shoot another session and get better images but, he has been adopted already. Less than eight hours after we posted his image, a pre-approved adopter called and she wants him sight unseen. Actually, even this below par image is better than many of the crummy shots other rescue groups and shelters post...
I didn't want to post this image but, my wife insisted. Now all she has to say is "See, I was right!"
I am still going to reshoot. He's really a cute puppy and I want a decent shot. This has become a challenge to me!
