Taken from the front of my house. I attempted the add some foreground to the moon shot, and chose to focus on the branch of the tree while using a small aperture to ( hopefully) also keep the moon somewhat sharp. I am not happy with the result, with either the sharpness or the composition. I feel that the tree was too prominent in the composition, and I did not achieve the sharpness I wanted. I am not sure why I did not use f 22, which should have given me better sharpness; I also took the shot hand held as I felt that with a relatively short exposure, I could do it without camera shake affecting the shot. I have read somewhere that if the exposure is less than 1/20" you should be ok hand held. Any truth to this? I could not get any further from the tree which I think may have improved the shot. I also used flash to provide some fill and illuminate the tree.
