Nicely done.
Mat, excellent capture, I think when you get it onto the big screenyou might darken it a bit, for more drama and to emphasis the stars. (Orion is very clear.)
Wish I'd taken it myself.....
What were your capture settings?
Hi Matt,
I like this; the elements that really work for me are;
the light glancing off the chimney side face revealing the texture
the triplet of red toned things pointing upwards; chimney, trees on left and right
the position of the moon in composition
the clouds and stars
The only thing that I'd change, if it were mine; is the green coloured flare spot in top right corner, for me - the colour doesn't suit the rest of the image. I don't think it would worry me if it weren't that colour.
Hope that's helpful, Dave

I really like this. When I looked at it earlier I didn't notice the stars and I liked it even then. It's beautiful.
I was actually expecting a landscape image taken at night as I have got used to seeing lovely scenes in your threads but this one look very interesting MattI think the color of the chimney created reflections on the trees and that's why the trees have such interesting colors. I agree with Dave about the flare and I think the image will look very nice after fixing it.
BTW , living in heaven, getting up very early because of shooting, going to bed very late because of shooting. You have a very hard life![]()
The edit looks better MattThe green flare is less visible but it still shows. Maybe cloning or spot healing that area before applying the vignette works better

Matt, the deeper blue of the sky works for me. Beautiful !
The last one is the best Matt![]()
Another fabulous shot Matt. I agreed with Dave about the green flare in the upper right and your extra editing has just continued to improve the shot.
The progression in your editing is showing off your creative skills at work , well done on a terrific capture.
Thanks all
