Other Side of the Lake (Erie)

Example for Ann Marie, still working on the edit, but I also have issues capturing a sunset. Link to Ann Marie's post so I wouldn't hijack her thread. Sunset picture, Lake Erie, PA (need help with colors)

This first image is pretty close to how the camera recorded the scene.
Other Side of the Lake (Erie)

This is what I was able to do in Lightroom and now it looks pretty close to what I saw, a bit more dramatic but at least closer.
Other Side of the Lake (Erie)

    f/5, ISO 800, 1/60 sec
I tried various settings but nothing came close unless I underexposed the shot. I shot RAW and changed white balance to Cloudy to try and get warmer colors. Edit involved more than just adjusting white balance, everything done in Lightroom.

It's amazing how the camera blows up on certain colors...very pretty picture by the way!

I like both, especially the transition between the two shots...very interesting...I particularly like the colour of #2. I wish CiC will be able to put lytebox back. I'd like to know what those items are at the back...are they boogie boards or flags? I googled USS Little Rock and found there is a military park around that area...very interesting indeed...

    Hi Izzie,

Thanks for commenting. Those are flags along the boardwalk.
