As many of you know, the reason for all of the images from around Japan is that we were here for my oldest daughter's wedding. Being in the wedding party means very limited photo ops, so these snaps are from before the wedding and during the rehearsal. The ceremony was quite different from anything we are used to... The rehearsal took place 20 minutes before the wedding ceremony...
In Japan, the ceremony is just that, a ceremony. The actual marriage takes place when the marriage licence is signed and turned in to the government for registration, so Ardis and Testsushi have technically been married since the end of June (even though he just got back to Japan 10 days ago).
1. Me photobombing my own shot during hair and makeup.
2. Lifting the veil
3. Down the aisle.
I traveled rather equipment light on this trip; my D800, three lenses, SB-900 flash and a Gary Fong Lightsphere. Plus of course, spare batteries and memory cards.
