For me the shot is about the impending blooms and the freshness of the water drops.
I have to say that considering the title - T'was cold and wet in the Elven glen - and my ignorant assumptions as to your climate; cold is not what I'd have expected. Since there's no (cool blue) tones from a sky in shot, all we have is the colour temperature of the light on the blooms and their colour affects our perception of even that.
