I just love the eyes here...#1 is my pick...it has the most beautiful pose...#2 seems a little bit soft in the head...eyes area..
Very nice BIF shots. Agree with Izzie about #1.
Great capture of the wing span.
Very nice series Barbara covering just about every aspect of this bird in flight.
Great job Barbara! I saw my first of these birds last year at the Richland Creek WMA near Corsicana, Tx. I got a few photos but non as good as yours. They must be migratory because I haven't seen any yet. Nicely done!
Birds #1 and #3 are top quality, as one would expect of your birds in flight. #2 is soft around the eye. The busy background in #3 is most disturbing on the lowest part. I do not know, whether you could have taken it with less depth of field? It still is a good picture.

Jolly nice work on all 3 - well done.
Very nice Barbara, they are a beautiful bird!![]()
You are so lucky there with these beautiful birds to shoot Barbara, a great set. No 1's my favourite from these.
Wonderful color frozen in time, I really like #2 !
Thanks Grahame, you know this week I am feeling especially lucky about where I live. i have seen Pelicans,Great White Egrets, snowy egrets, cow egrets, night herons, tri-colored herons and little blue herons all nesting in huge numbers.
Now when the heat gets into the 100's in the next couple of months I may not be singing it's praises![]()
