These are some flowers that I took in Australia in front of my son and DIL's house..I add some vignette in these to put the concentration on the flower...hope you all do not mind..it is the only effect I use on all of them apart from James Edward's action sharpening...
1 Yellow rose (of Texas?)
2 Orange/Red variety
3. Pinkish white rose with a bee...lost my macro lens on the way to Oz at customs
4 The obligatory red rose -- Mr. Lincoln. I advised my DIL to buy one of this because it is the first ever plant I have ever have planted in my life. It has a nice scent too. I didn't like the vignette in this one at all. I feel like I have not done justice to its scented beauty...
5 Who can't live without a purple one in the garden as pretty as this one...
Thank you all for looking and commenting...
Cheers, Izzie

The pink and red stripped rose reminds me of my favorite rose in my great grandmother's garden when I was six or seven years old! Brings back beautiful memories of a wonderful women... She delighted in the beauty of flowers, and it's a love that's been passed down through several generations. Thanks for sharing!
