Barbara, I'd love to see an overall view of where you're positioning yourself to get these great shots. This one really shows the wing span off, as well as the eagle eye looking for a meal.
That must be a hungry bird out in those conditions. But a bit easier exposure in that light and with that BG. Nice action shot. They're well into breeding plumage now.
Thanks Alan! These were taken at the Texas City Dike. The road is long and narrow and sits about 2 to 3 above the water which is on both sides. It is lined with huge granite boulders stacked up on one side and crushed shells on the other. It runs 2 miles long. I was sitting in the car on the side of the road for a lot of them and then got out when it was not raining. Today they were very close to the road so I got lots of photo ops.

I like that we get to see both eyes in this one Barbara with his head twisted to the right.
How I love to take shots from the comfort of my car. That is such a great angle on this one with all of the beautiful feather details on those open wings. Another winner, Barbara!
Fabulous. Look at those wings. And it might be fishing but it's almost looking straight at me. Well done again.
Great shot Barbara, the wings look amazing.
Yes, great wings !![]()
