I took this today while out and about. Feel free to critique.

Really, really nice. Great aspect, would it be possible to get it from slightly left of your position so that the building on the right was out of shot?

The converging verticals and lens distortion created by shooting at 11mm are quite off putting for me. Would it have been possible to move back and shoot at a longer focal length?

Those vertical lines just go to prove how strong their beer is!

Yes, they would be wrong for a strict architectural image; but they do add something of a fun element to the scene.

I indeed, agree on the verticals, I think they are a purposeful choice in this case & add to the image. We have the curve of the footpath, the round beer barrels (can barrels be anything other than round? doh!)
The circular Heineken sign & the distinctive round shape of the building on the right.
I think it is a 'scene' of great interest, that when shot from this angle at this focal length, provides a fun & quirky narrative.
    Well done.

Thanks very much every one I will try to get a better focal length next time its just there where too many people around s I had to get close so as not to ruin the scene. Thanks again

I like it! I especially like the illumination and clouds around the pub.

Converging verticals whatever, but when you have not been home to a British pub for over 4 years all I'm thinking about is the inside of it

    Oh yes, I like it.

Thanks Grahame. The inside is and looks fantastic as well but for some reason every time I go in, I forget to start taking picture. Nothing to do with alcohol of course...Nothing at all.

I like the shot Chris, although I can't tell for sure what shape the building is?

Is it rather like it seems; a light house shape, a pure cylinder, or does it have some hidden depth?
However, that's just me being inquisitive.

My only 'complaint' might be the broad halo in the sky around the buildings, probably due to processing to achieve a good exposure for buildings and sky.

    LOL
