    Self-portrait

Work was closed today because of a snowstorm so I thought I would attempt a self-portrait. Just a bit of fun though I was having trouble with the perspective. The figure is the only thing in the image that is probably vertical and I can't decide if I am!

    Re: Self-portrait

Everything works absolutely great for me except the small thing sticking up in the foreground in front of the right side of the bench. There's so little separation between it and the snow on the ground (understandable) that I wonder where the part of it that is strongly separated from the bench is coming from. I would clone to get rid of that piece entirely.

    Very well done!

Indeed a wonderful image! Beautifully photographed with such wonderful detail in the snow, and so creative. I notice the little thing in the foreground too, so +1 to Mike's recommendation.

Very well executed Andrew, and you remembered not to put boot marks in the foreground snow where they would be captured.

Thank you Sharon. When I made the image I was unaware of the accumulation of snow on the hat but on seeing it I was quite pleased with the appearance.

If this was mine, I would make this a holiday card in a heartbeat.

I intended to remove that stick but I was distracted and forgot about it when I downloaded the image to post it!
The offending stick will soon be history!

Beautiful. Great vision to think about making such an image. And then executed very well indeed.

Great vision and excellent execution of that vision.

The snow buildup on the hat is a nice touch too...

    Hi Andrew,

I found it hard to believe this is what you described due to the snow on your hat and shoulders - it makes me wonder how long your self timer runs for?

    Very well shot, Dave

    Re: Self-portrait

+1 to Dave's comment...I was already composing what I will say when I scrolled down and saw his response... so now all you have to do is answer the question on how long you've been sitting there to accumulate that much snow on your hat to almost match the edges of the bench... you got guts...
