I thought sure I was done posting photos of Lofoten, Norway but I came upon two photos that are especially important as memories if not as images. The most important hike for me was the hike that goes to Munkebu Hut, which is maintained for backpackers spending the night there. I knew from my research that the scenery was drop-dead gorgeous and I was determined to get there even though my wife was skeptical that we would be able to do such a difficult hike.
Well, we did get there and the two scenes shown below were captured from where we ate lunch. It was the middle of the day when the light was at its worst and there was lots of haze. I really didn't think we had any images worthy of being presented here but I was able to post-process these two to my satisfaction considering the circumstances.
The lakes in the first image (captured by my wife and post-processed by me) are located to the left of the hut. The hut is smack dab in the middle of incredible scenery.
