Re: Mallards at Cardiff Bay
Hate to say something if it is not good but I will critique so it is not as bad as I think....Your duckies are nicely shot and sharp -- but I feel constricted with lack of space left and right of the frames. #2 could have have good space-wise but not seeing even just one of the faces of the ducks is a turn-off for me.
OK...I'll go back to my cave...
Cheerios......

Re: Mallards at Cardiff Bay
I was concentrating on the beautiful plumage rather than the bland background, I found that I lost the detail of the feathers if I extended either side of the birds. As for #2, I was trying to get the "birds eye view" as they lay in the sun, facing the birds did not capture what they were looking at, Cardiff Bay is a tourist attraction for it's Barrage and I thought it quite funny that they were sun bathing looking at the view.

Hi Joanne,
The detail and beautiful colours you captured in #1 and #4 is exceptional, truly amazing. Exceptional captures under this light and beautifully processed.
In the 3rd image the Mallard is too hard looking for my personal preferences.
Izzie... Nice to see you back. I'm going to start a bird butt thread and change your mind...
