I don't know if the distance is one pixel at a time (I actually doubt that it is unless the image is being viewed at a particular size such as perhaps 100%) but using the arrow keys does allow one to move the image incrementally. That's how I initially aligned the images by trial and error.he would move the top image one pixel distance at a time by clicking the direction arrows
Ahhhhhhh. That makes sense. I thought she was referring to using it as an aid for something else. Even so, using that method requires getting the registration accurate by eye, when I think using an automated method should be quicker and more reliably accurate. Indeed, using the Shift key while moving the image as suggested by Grahame is quicker and always accurate.I note Marie Hass's tip with regard to reducing the density as an aid to registering
