Re: Art Outside the Art Gallery
All have a unique quality of their own and I wouldn't bother trying to define the composition, just enjoy the elements as they are presented.

Nice shots Dave. The second is my favorite of the bunch as is but if I start to analyze the composition I wonder if you could have frame the shots with more of the reflection of the fountains and less of the building. As it is, I will say that I like the table in the foreground as its round shape and color seem to mimic the shape of the fountains and adds a bit of interest to the overall scene for me.

Thanks John and Shane for your comments. Shane it may have been possible to frame the second shot as you suggest although getting a suitable shooting position was a bit tricky with pools and stairways everywhere. This shot was taken from a little distance away from a low position with the lens set to 54mm on a 1.6 crop factor camera.

Re: Art Outside the Art Gallery
I hear you about shooting position Dave. I have been spending a lot of time on the rocks along the coastline here in Hawaii lately and a better shooting position would often land me in the deep end of the ocean so to speak
