    Brian...I might suggest some judicious pruning of the foreground leaf before squeezing the shutter.

    What was your approach in composing this photo? How did you decide on the final angle, elements included. Did you use rules, intuition, or some other method in choosing this composition?

    There have been some pretty descriptive ugly terms in describing my technique of taking numerous images of the same subject>merging them to one huge image>cropping to the desired image while evaluating it on my monitor.

    I wonder why you chose such an angle where your main object and your camera lens is disastrously interfered by a leaf, of which you are totally mindless!!!

    but that would have eliminated the 'hidden in the forest' look I was (apparently unsuccessfully) trying for. big sigh

    as i explained earlier the angle of the dangle was the angle my butt and body made as they connected to the stone wall. I like the leaf because it so demurely hides the flower.

    Mind you i am the only one who does and if you will talk to my wife she will insist the only good taste i have ever shown was to fall in love with her.
