    Interesting photo - I assume they are in some sort of longboat competition. A bit like a large dragon boat or over here a big wooden canoe called a waka.

    I know our coastguard would disapprove of them overloading the boat and not wearing life jackets and it is just as well there are no big waves..

    I also find it an interesting photo, Nandakumar. I like the diagonal created by the men in the image.

    Quite nice: a strong sense of story albeit one occult to this (and probably many) viewers. Strong color and, per Sergio, a nice active diagonal.

    Also, not to offend, it seems to have a tongue in cheek about how seriously men can take themselves at their games. One or more of these guys' wives probably thinks the old man is pretty silly with his red singlet and little paddle and wishes he'd get home and help out with the kids.

    Thank you very much Mark; those men standing are leading some customary songs that inspires the rowers, who also sing along.... probably they defy their age with great spirit
