Hi Daisy. I really like the scratchy, blotchy, swirly, slightly out of focus feeling in this image. Very creative. You definitely captured what you were going for. I would definitely hang this image.

Thanks Karm!![]()
I think the image is cool, however I didn't get a winter feeling out of it at all. sorry
Sharon, I really like this image. Reminds me of an oil painting.
Bruce
I also don't get the impression that it's winter but I hope that doesn't matter to you. Instead, I think it's an absolutely wonderful impressionistic piece that deserves to be hanging on many walls.
Hello Sharon: I very much like this moody piece. I also am reminded of an impressionist oil painting. I too, do not get a winter feel. Around here, the prelude to winter is brown and grey. Oddly, the blues and greens in this study make me think of a humid summer evening. Go figure...
Bruce..thank you so much. I layered several images, tones and textures to achieve this and suddenly they all fell into place ..for me at least.
Mike, no, of course it doesn't bother me..it is winter(ish) here and here is where I am and all that I can speak to.
I have watched these trees with interest. They are halfway between my home and my father's hospital. I have passed them every day this year feeling hopeful, desolate, joyous and plain exhausted..I have watched them display their own versions of the same from stark to splendid and now back again.
It's a very good reminder that whatever you see and feel at any given point........'this too shall pass!'
Thanks Suzan.
I have said elsewhere that I would rather not put titles on my pictures as that instantly limits what people see.
Sadly convention requires that I do but I hope everyone looks at my pictures and takes from them exactly what moves them about it in their own experience.
More good work Sharon. I don't see Winter in this either but I love it.
I have to rethink now, whether Woman in the City, or this one is my favourite of yours. This one is fantastic. I would hang a copy in my house.
Love your work Sharon !!
Hi Sharon,
Steamy windscreens comes to mind and do I detect a bit of motion blur in the back there.
Grahame
Sharon, I always look with anticipation for your images and am never disapointed.
BTW" re: your reply to Tim... There are "very different" winters within the State of Arizona. Southern Arizona is a land of perpetual summer while Northern Arizona sees a lot of snow and experiences some pretty cold temperatures. However, except during the snow storms or blizzards, there is usually a bright blue sky with sun shining.
You can literally freeze and get a sunburn at the same time! That is the best (or worst) of two extremes...
Thank you all so very much for your lovely comments...and for teaching me about winters far and wide.
Grahame..I think there's a bit of 'Orton' in there somewhere...there usually is!![]()
Awesoime, awesome; i have a suggestion; please make your abstractive, impressionistic images a series, so that one can find them at once
