    Goldendoodle and Maltese Puppy

My Goldendoodle, Holly, and one of our rescue puppies. Holly becomes a surrogate mother to the puppies after they are weaned by their mom. We call her "Auntie Holly"...

Jack... You just have to love those Goldendoodles. BTW: Labradoodles are pretty nice also...

Cocoa was abused when we got her as a foster. She had a hole in her cheek from an abscessed molar. She is a darling girl and I am lobbying my wife to keep her...

Cocoa is great with my little Maltese and is a bit better of a watch/guard dog than my Goldendoodle...

    Richard,
I am all in favor of you keeping her, she is gorgeous.
Regarding an earlier comment you made about your doodle, "...a pound of sand in each paw." Yup!
Love the pic of Auntie Holly and her surrogates.

    Re: Goldendoodle and Maltese Puppy

Besides being quite a watch dog, she is darker in color and is more formidable looking than my GD. I notice the difference when I am walking the dogs. People are more apt to come up and pet my GD than they are to pet Cocoa.

However, Cocoa is very obedient. All my dogs hate the gardener and Cocoa bolted out when the gardener was in our yard. She ran at him (the poor guy is absolutely terrified of dogs and seeing this dark dog running at him must have been horrifying). Anyway, I just yelled "Cocoa" and she stopped on a dime, reversed and ran back to me.
