    My Parents

I just discovered this clearing Dad's house and wanted to share it Not my shot obviously but it is interesting to see the tones and values...it also explains why I am adorably cute but can't do a thing with my hair!!

With hair like that must have been many shoving matches to commandeer the mirror.

    Here's a thought...

Some of us have B&W images of parents, grandparents and even older relatives that are still quite decent after all these years. I have some pre-1900 images that are still in very good shape.

However, many of us also have color prints and slides of circa 1960's images that are drastically fading away, If we want to keep those images for later generations, it might be a good idea to scan these images and save them digitally. Otherwise, we will be missing a generation or two of photographic records.

I totally agree Richard. I don't even have a scanner I just took a photograph of the above photograph.

I have a wee collection of slides that are very special to me and I never thought of the fact they might fade. I will get them out and do something about preserving them.
