Backyard Hummers
Here are a couple from the past week. Our hummers are very active defending "their" feeders in preparation for migration in a few weeks. The first one is our dominant female on her favorite spot on our honeysuckle vine. I think her spread tail is a sign of aggression or "don't get in my bubble."
The second is another female feeding on our butterfly bush. Here, there is not many flowers left that they can feed on so they depend on the feeders to build up body fat for migration. I doing that too but I'm not migrating!

Re: Backyard Hummers
The second photo is well executed with a nice tones in the background but the first one is a little different from a lot of hummer shots we see and I think works very well.
