Well, live and learn. When we left the camper for Ash Cave I grabbed the camera and an extra battery...thought I was covered. I forgot to notice which lens was on the camera...the 55-250 was a little too much for this spot. I tried to make do.

I'd say you 'made do' pretty well. There is not a poor image in there. Lovely set. I think what this teaches/reminds us is that soemtimes the most powerful images and those that have the strongest narrative are the ones that get in closer and pick up details of the environment, rather than trying to get everything in with the wide vista.

Donald, thanks for the comments. The new gear is a nice little learning curve that comes along with it but I am still having fun with it. There will be more to come in this series...I have a couple more days worth of photos to go through.
