I really like this one and think I have covered most bases. I really would love to hear C&C since I always learn so much from everyone!

I do not think anything above the dark horizon is helping it. A crop that included just the Egret/heron and the adjacent posts would make a very strong photograph with great impact.The tonal range in that area is excellent. (If it were mine I would probably cheat and extend the distant field with a bit of cloning so it could be cropped but retain some headroom)

Yes, I would also crop tighter. Lose some of the sky and probably some of that dark foreground. Which would mean a different size ratio. Maybe 5 x 4 ratio?

Thanks guys for the feedback. I am just getting back online, yet another laptop failure. I think I lost this one is the crash as the HD is showing up in RAW format...Fortunately, I had a backup that was only missing a weeks worth of photos, this one included in that week. Onward I suppose, thanks for your help anyways.
