Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial
Ive been to Washington DC several times, but never realized this monument area was there... its away from the National Mall, so many miss it. Its worth a visit.
Its a bronze life size scuplture, converted to BW in Silver Efex pro

Re: Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial
Even though the swirl marks on the statue are pretty pronounced on the bronze- especially obvious on his leg/shoes, I wonder if the amount of contrast in the BW does not work in its favor. Should it be softer/less contrasty?

Re: Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial
That doesn't overly worry me, but I would like to crop slightly tighter on the top and right side to reduce distraction from the foliage in the top right corner.

Your conversion looks good to me, Mike. I get a sense of the shine and texture of the bronze.

Re: Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial
This is the original, SOOC only cropped as suggested by Geoff… is this what you had in mind?
(feel free to comment on the color version vs bw)
The basic differences in the crop is 8.5 x 11 in the first one vs 8 x 10 in the second
One of the reasons I went with the BW conversion is FDR looks like he was touched and froze by Goldfinger of James Bond fame… maybe its because we had just went to the International Spy Museum the day before and they had the 007 exhibit up… ALL the James Bond movies, props, etc on display… so it was fresh in my mind!
