I don't think so Mike but I know what you mean. It didn't need sharpening but the contrast levels were so high that I had to do some local post processing. Easy in the large shadow areas but amongst the waves............ I think that this is what you are seeing. I had noticed it myself and it does detract from the image.

I think you're right, John. I selected the lower half of the water and moved a contrast slider to slightly reduce the contrast. For me, that solved the problem without introducing any negative effects.

You nailed this one. Very nicely composed. Only since I have been trying to capture sunrise/sunsets have I realized how quickly they change. You captured this at just the right moment, it seems.

Thanks Mark. Actually, I selected this frame from the other 6 -8 that I took at the time. I never know when the right moment is. Some photographers that I know only fire the shutter once the sun is over the horizon.
